The middle years.

Omaha Tween Portraits

Our kids are always changing, always growing. But these few years that they are no longer little kids but not quite teenagers are especially fleeting. It’s that space between, and it’s such a sweet time of self discovery, independence and development. They really come into their own and it is so fun to observe! There is so much ahead of them, and my goal is to tell their beautiful story with my camera.

It happens in a blur.

These middle years can be a whirlwind. Schedules can begin to fill with extracurricular activities, more homework, more commitments. Maybe they are taking a sport to the next level. Perhaps they’ve found a new love for music or fashion. Some may say the tween years are awkward and angsty, but I love this stage because it contains so much hope and opportunity. So whether you’d like traditional portraits or portraits involving their passion or hobby, or maybe they want some portraits with their besties, let’s not glaze over these short, important years where they’re discovering their place in the world and forging their own path. Instead, let’s celebrate it with portraits that remind them of how special they are and the great things that they’ll accomplish.
