Camp Cherished adds new option for teens!
After holding Camp Cherished for Omaha tween girls for three summers, I’m excited to announce that the Radiant Book Club will be held as an additional offering of Camp Cherished, serving girls ages 13-15 this summer! Designed for girls just beyond the tween years, this book club is perfect for girls in their final years of middle school or first years of high school, and for those that have already gone through the tween Camp Cherished a few times and are ready for new content and a slightly different format.
Here’s what participants in the Radiant Book Club can expect:
Radiant is a 4 part book about radiating your unique identity in Christ out into the world. Content for Radiant will require reading ahead for each week’s session to come prepared for discussion following a book club format. Reading lengths average about 33 pages per week. The four parts are:
Part One: Let There Be Light - you are divinely designed
Part Two: From Darkness to Light - as a follower of God, you are fully forgiven and free.
Part Three: Walk in the Light - your struggles, experiences or hardships do not fully define you. Your identity is in Christ.
Part Four: Light of the World - you are here, in this present time, for a unique purpose.
Radiant Book Club is free, however, participants have the option to pay for an optional photoshoot, and order their book through Jill for an additional cost.
Discussion will be less structured and rely more on participant-led discussion. (The Radiant book does include a few questions to think about at the end of each part that can serve as a framework for participants.
Participants will meet in the comfort of Jill’s home, on Tuesday nights starting July 1 at 7 pm.
